Services that I Provide

I provide individual and group psychotherapy, as well as occasionally working with couples and families. Our initial sessions will include an evaluation of your presenting concerns, a review of your history, and development of your treatment goals. If you need a service I do not provide, I will gladly refer you to someone who does provide that service.

I do not provide oral or written opinions regarding child custody, special reports or narratives for the court, or court-ordered treatment. In the event I am subpoenaed, my normal hourly fee will be charged for all preparation time, written reports, oral testimony and travel/waiting time.

I also provide ethics training and consultation to organizations and do ethics training for therapists, using the Right Use of Power model. More information about the model is available elsewhere on this website.

Finally, I provide qualified supervision toward licensure for social workers, mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists.

Mindful Eating Group

This group is for women who struggle with compulsive eating. We will look at what influences the use of food to soothe feelings and work to remove the constraints to eating with attention and awareness.

The group is limited to 7 women. It will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 to 7:15 PM, beginning January 18, 2006. (Time is subject to change, based upon participants’ needs.)

Cost is $35 - $45 per session, depending on the number of participants. A 12-week commitment is required. Continuing after 12 weeks will be negotiated with the group and each individual will have the option to leave at that time.
